What's inside my backpack?
Since winter break is officially over; it's time to return to school. This abhorrence is quickly rebuffed by my desire to redecorate. So with much pleasure I decided to redecorate the inside of my bag!

A Lady in Training
Today was my cousin's wedding shower.(for the sake of anonymity let's just call her Belle.) Belle is in her early twenties and engaged to a truly lovely man. Today whilst observing the two love birds open gifts, a certain quote came to mind by that of F. Scott Fitzgerald "He looked at her the way all women want to be looked at by a man." Belle's fiance without a doubt in my mind, truly loves her, and seeing this precious twinkle in his eye, all I could think of was how amazing of a young woman Belle has become. Throughout all the noise and commotion of this lovely day, I myself began thinking of what kind of woman I wish to be. As many of you know, I idolize women such as Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy, for their grace and beauty. Jackie had created such a poised image of herself, and was known for bringing youth and style back into the White House. Audrey despite her difficult childhood grew up to be an amazing actress and a UNICEF ambassador helping children in third world countries and always carried herself with honor. Both women had one thing in common, their style. Both Audrey and Jackie, who were graced with true beauty, always dressed in modest classy attire, proving that a women could be beautiful without dressing in skimpy improper attire.
Today, at the shower, Belle's grandmother (on her father's side) graced us with her own beauty. I have had the honor of meeting with her on quite a few family occasions, and the one thing that always stood out to me about her, was her beauty and her style. She always was dressed to the nines, her style is preppy and chic and has also influenced my own taste in fashion growing up. She has the grace of Audrey, the Style of Jackie, and the beauty of both. I hope that one day I grow up to be as elegant of a woman as she.

5 Favorite Easter Lilly's
Happy Easter Everybody! I hope you're day is filled with joy and happiness while we all celebrate the rising of Christ and chocolate bunnies. I woke up at my beach house and after sitting on the porch watching the sunrise whilst sipping a lovely cup of tea and a nibbling some Milk chocolate I decided to embrace the day the preppy way, and provide my list of my top five favorite Lilly Pulitzer Dresses from her spring collection that I think fit the holiday theme. So have fun going to church, searching for Easter eggs, and engulfing oneself in the company of your darling loved ones. If I could magically summon every one of these dresses into my closet I would, but as of now I can only bestow my opinion into all of your lovely minds. Happy Hunting Everybody!

Sandal Heaven Has Arrived!
Translation: I bought my first pair of Jack Rogers and they're here!. Yes! That's right! After much anticipation I am now a proud owner of a new pair of Jack Rogers and I wanted to share my lovely news with you! After a giant shoe debacle with Nordstrom, my shoes have arrived in once piece, and on time. I decided to go with the Original Navajo Gold Sandals, and could not be more pleased. As of now, I do believe this begins the end of purchasing any other brand of summer sandals. I'm obsessed to say the least.
Thanks Loves! @PreppyFairytale
I am interested as to what you wear with your Jacks! Please comment below pictures of your Jacks and how you wear them!
Thanks Loves! @PreppyFairytale
10 Items Every Prep Should Own:
1.A Pair of Jack Rogers Sandals
Classic Navajo Sandals in Gold ( http://www.jackrogersusa.com ) |
Jack Roger Sandals have been around for years. Jacqueline (Jackie) Kennedy made the shoe style iconic in the Sixties and inspired this shoe trend, now Preps everywhere can't be seen them. If you are vacationing at the beach or lounging around the pool nothing say summer like a fabulous pair of sandals.
2. A Lilly Pulitzer Dress
Delia Shift Dress (www.Lilly Pulitzer.com) |
Whether you are dressing up for a party or going on an outing with friends a Lilly Dress is perfect for every Sping and Summer occasion. I love these dresses because one can practically wear these anywhere because they are always classy.
3. Hunter Wellington Rainboots
Original Tall Rainboots (http://usa.hunter-boot.com/) |
Hunter Wellingtons, a.k.a. Wellies, are a fall staple piece for any and every prep. They are durable, colorful and never go out of style. One could wear them around the city on a rainy day, or to school or work paired by a lovely scarf and some fitted jeans or leggings.
4. Bean Boots [L.L. bean]
Variety of Bean Boots (Llbean.com) |
Bean Boots are great for snow, throw them on with a pair of your warmest socks and you'll be ready to battle the harsh winds of a cold winter day. Bean Boots, a.k.a. duck boots are really cute and can be made girly or into a tomboyish style.
5. Ralph Lauren Polo
Ralph Lauren Classic Fit Large Pony Polo (RalphLauren.com) |
Ralph Lauren is absolutely without a doubt my favorite designer, I grew up wearing his lovely designs and my style has been greatly influenced by him. A Ralph Lauren Polo is a preppy necessity due to its ability to be worn by all ages. One is never too old or too young to wear Ralph Lauren, and the polo design is just timeless.
6. Sperry Topsiders
Sperry Topsiders Originally began as a boating shoe company, but have grown into a million dollar trend. These shoes have been popular since our parents were kids, and are extremely comfortable. The two popular styles are the Bluefish and Angelfish(my personal favorite) however some go as far as purchasing the company flip flops.

"Pearls are always appropriate."-Jackie Kennedy
I think Jackie Kennedy explained that enough, as for statement necklaces there is no better way to add style to a button up, then a lovely statement necklace.
8. Oversized Watch
Michael Kors Oversized Watch (michaelkors.com) |
Watches are just darling, and oversized watches are even better! Watches (which are always worn on the left hand) have been in style for generations, they provide a stylish way to keep time, or just help put together any outfit. I think oversized watches are the perfect addition to any outfit.
9. Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt
Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt in Caico (Vineyardvines.com) |
Shep Shirts are great because they work in every season. They are lightweight, machine-washable, and 100% cotton French Terry cotton. I love this look, because it provides style and comfort, that you can either dress up or down.
10. Vests
Puffer Vest (Jcrew.com) |
Patagonia Vest in Radient Magenta ( Patagonia.com ) |
There are two types of vests for the winter season that every prep must own. One being the puffer vest, and one being a Patagonia Vest. Whilst puffer vest offer lineage as to which to buy and where if one is planning on wearing a nonpuff vest, a Patagonia is key.
